This was, without doubt, one of the been concerts I've ever been to! I went to see him in Liverpool as well last week but I forgot my camera! However the Manchester one was so much better. Better audience and more happy and relaxed Patrick :)

I can't believe I forgot to post these! A couple of months ago my uni ran a small workshop where we went to the Botany archives at Manchester Museum. This is a place the public doesn't usually see as it's behind the scenes, way up in the roof of the building. It was an absolute goldmine of interesting things...and here is just a fraction of it...

Okay, so this project has all been about dreams. I've been asking people to tell me a dream they've had and I've photographed them as they're talking. I will eventually work in quotes from what they've said into the photos but for now here are the raw images. They were shot with my Zenit-E on 35mm film, no photoshop manipulation! All that you see is done in camera. (well apart from the border....)

p.s I'm gonna post some pictures in a bit which I've been taking for my final project at uni. I'm very very proud of them :)

I made Oreo Cupcakes last week! They are the best things on earth.

So taking advantage of the nice weather I been experimenting with my Zenit. I'm starting my final major project uni soon so I wanted to play around with in-camera light effects. These were done by just quickly opening the back of the camera after taking the photo, letting a little light leak in. It's very risky as it can potentially ruin your shot/film but I happy to say I got quite a few decent shots out of a roll. I'm gonna apply this technique to portraits though for my project. This was just a trail run!

Saw an amazing band called IAMX last night. It was one of the best gigs I've ever been too. Chris Corner is such an entrancing frontman, his voice and stage presence is incredible.

Very worth being late to uni for ;)

Just gonna book tickets to Antony & the Johnsons at the Opera House with a 36 piece orchestra! Cannot wait. I adore Antony's voice and I've never seen them live before <3

And I hear whispers in the wind of a Patrick Wolf date at Liverpool....!!!!!!!

Oh and The Horrors are playing the ruby lounge in June too! So many gigs, so little money!

I mentioned a few posts back that I'd done a small stop motion animation. Well here is the star! Made of plasticine and wire. I will put up the animation eventually put I'm still editing it. So for now, a picture:

I was thinking about starting a design/photography based blog. Just to show what I design I admire and things I find that I want to share. I really want to immerse myself in the design world so I think a blog might be good. Especially for my personal statement lol

In the darkroom AGAIN to day. Mainly to play around with this thing called the Sabattier effect. It's kind of a negative and a postive image merged together.

They're all two negatives over-layed and the text is dodged in using acetate.
